Brown Bags are made for young students to engage and collaborate as a class, and then take home to extend their learning. Students practice the STEM cycle of planning, building, testing, and improving to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Each Brown Bag includes a STEM-based challenge that encourages children to solve problems. There is no right answer or correct design, it is a fun learning experience that encourages children to think outside of the box. These kits contain recycled goods as well as low-cost everyday materials, helping to bring STEM equity to households where challenges can be built again and again.

Pop Up Tinker Shop (PUTS) is a mobile museum that travels to schools, childcare centers, and community events throughout the Tri-County area to provide access to unique early education opportunities in STEM learning, while effectively eliminating the barriers of cost, time and travel that often limit exposure to these types of high-quality encounters. In our PUTS trailer, we have a diverse array of hands-on, play-based activities for children to learn important STEM education initiatives through play. It includes imagination playground blocks, simple circuits, raceways, Rigamajig, ball wall, dinosaur bones, and more interactive stations!

Visit the Guggenheim From Home Since its founding, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum has maintained a belief in the transformative powers of art. In uncertain times such as these, art can provide both solace and inspiration. Although our catalytic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building is temporarily closed, we remain a virtual community committed to igniting ideas, discussion and creativity.
